“A kitchen without a knife is not a kitchen.”- Masaharu Morimoto.
We all know how important it is to have a good tool in the kitchen. And a knife is one tool we can’t do without it.
We use a knife to peel, chop, to cut.
I was happy to receive CUTLUXE Santoku Knife for review.
It is a 7″ Chopping Knife from their Artisan Series.
The knife comes in beautiful black packaging. Inside the box, you will also find a microfiber cloths to keep the knife always shiny.
The knife is made of Forged High Carbon German Steel. The blade has a hand-sharpened edge at 14-16 degrees per side for maximum sharpness and edge retention. The handle is made of Luxury pakkawood that is triple-riveted for sure grip and stability.
The knife is designed very nicely and is comfortable to use. The handle shape makes it comfortable to hold even for a longer time. It was sharp and ready to use out of the box. (After washing first, of course). The knife chops even hard veggies. (My last knife broke when I was cutting a sweet potato!) It looks sturdy and well made. I don’t use it long enough, but I think the steel shouldn’t rust.
It would be nice if it came with a long-term protection cover. The plastic one that the knife came with is not going to last.
Cutluxe brand offers three series of knives: Artisan, Olivery, and Shinobi. You can learn more about each series on their website.
I am happy with this product. If I need another knife in the future, maybe a peeling knife, Cutluxe will be the first brand I will consider.
Thank you Cutluxe for a review unit.
