This is such a delightful book. It is a collaboration between writer, painter and vegan publisher. They are amazing team. And their final product, this book, is beyond wonderful.
On the pages of “Love Rhymes with Everything” reader meets many animals, from dogs and cats, to cows, ducks and horses. They are rescued animals, who now either live peacefully on the sanctuary farms, or are in their loving forever homes.
Some poems are funny, some more serious, but they all remind us, that all animals can feel pain, grief, but also joy and love. This book sends the message of compassion towards all animals, and awareness about their suffering and cruel treatment, especially at factory farms, or laboratories.
This is tribute to all animals, and just like the dedication at the first pages of the book states:
“For every animal who ever felt unheard or unseen.”
Every animal has a story, and rescued animal’s story are often sad. Through this book you learn that each animal, not only cats and dogs, but also pigs and cows, and all other, have their own personality. Dana Feagin gave voice to those, who can’t speak by themselves.
This collection of poems and paintings is a way to remember about our animal friends. Not all animals were lucky, to survive the cruelty of humans. That’s why this is amazing idea, to share the love for animals through art.
The paintings included in the book are adorable and sweet. Artist Dana Feagin has unique style and her paintings are really standing out. Many of the portraits of the animals will melt your heart and make you smile.
At the end of the book are short bios of every animal mentioned in the book. I thought it was cute bonus to the book.
This is definitely great book that kids and adults will enjoy. It is a great gift for every animal lover. And it is a book, that you can read over, and over and over again.
